Apply for an Account

• You are eligible for an account if you are a Northwestern social sciences faculty member, staff or graduate student. Undergraduates under direct faculty supervision are also eligible. Accounts are renewable on an annual basis.

• Visit the website http://sscc.northwestern.edu/ and go to the link on the left side named Account Application. Be prepared to provide your NU NetID and password to authenticate yourself.

• Fill out the online form. You can expect to receive email within two business days from Academic Technologies about your SSCC application, along with instructions for beginning to use the SSCC.

If you have questions in the meantime, or if you do not hear from us within two business days about your account application, please email us at sscc-info@northwestern.edu

All users of the SSCC must agree:

(1) to use SSCC system resources only for social sciences research activities;

(2) not to use SSCC disk storage for storage of software applications,   document files, image files, streaming media files, or other files unrelated to social sciences research;

(3) not to schedule compute resources on the SSCC in a way that will deliberately prevent other account holders on the SSCC from shared use of the system.
